What was daily life like for a plantation owners' wife in the South prior to the Civil War? She oversaw the house, chores, and care-taking of her family and her slaves. She lived a life of complete leisure, having very few responsibilities. She worked in the fields alongside the slaves in order to maximize profits. She did all the chores without any help from slaves or other family members.

in the south there was something called a "House N*****" and they would do cooking and cleaning, so D isnt entirely true
