Use a transformation to solve the equation. f – 12 = –35 A. f = –47 B. f = –23 C. f = 23 D. f = 47

OpenStudy (igreen):

Just add 12 to both sides..what's -35 + 12? @Deadpool117

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@iGreen it was that simple.....opps

OpenStudy (igreen):

Yep..lol.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so i just add -35+12 or the other way?

OpenStudy (igreen):

We want to get 'f' by itself, so we have to get rid of the 12 that's being subtracted by it. And to keep the equation balanced we have to do the opposite. And the opposite of subtraction is addition..so we add 12 to both sides.

OpenStudy (igreen):

Yes, just add -35 + 12.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh thanks could u help me with more?

OpenStudy (igreen):

Sure just close this one and open a new one.

OpenStudy (anonymous):
