what are the responsibilities of human geographers when it comes to developing a new community?

Hmm, human geographers usually hold the responsibility of (even though it is cheesy) a sustainable environment and development that will not deteriorate in a short moment of time. Location wise, it must be economically productive and viable to other outside resources and other outside trade routes. There also must be geographic safety- meaning that there isn't any dangers for someone to live and etc. So its a bit broad but it is on the lines of safety, sustainability, and hoping to have a balanced population (no over population) able to sustain further etc.
