keep in mind the standard form of equation of circle that we used in previous question
The equation of a circle is: \((x-h)^2 + (y - k)^2 = r^2\) Where the center of the circle is located at \((h, k)\), and the radius is \(r\). We can already rule out two options just given the center..and what are those two options? @dumbsearch2
I found B but I wanted to hear second opinions before I gave my answer.
Yep, I got that too.. \((x - 7)^2 + (y - 3)^2\) tells us that the center is located at (7, 3). We are given the diameter, 24. And half the diameter is equal to the radius, therefore the radius here is 12. \(r^2\) Plug in 12: \(12^2 = 144\) Therefore our final equation will be: \((x - 7)^2 + (y - 3)^2 = 144\)
You are so darn helpful, man ! :) @iGreen No, I mean the way you *actually* took the time to guide me step-by-step. I'm grateful.
No problem.
Grade received: 100.0% (20.00 pts out of 20.00 pts) Thanks @igreen and @ganeshie8 ! :) You helped me understand the concepts and do well on the assignment.
Hey, I just checked your work. You did it all :)
Aw, thank you :)
