OpenStudy (girlover):

question is the words hell and damn curse words?

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

Some people consider those words as curse words/swear words. I guess it would be better just not to use it. :)

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

And as for: @just_one_last_goodbye @Donblue22 @jojo4eva @emmigrace222 @natsent06 Please message me your email so you can be part of OSSF and participate in the training!

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

If you don't want to message it to me, message it to: @Abhisar @sleepyhead314 @Joel_the_boss :) Not sure if anyone else knows how to add members on the website :)

OpenStudy (confluxepic):

The words not allowed on OS are the ones that get filtered.

OpenStudy (just_one_last_goodbye):

I agree with @girlover I keep getting told not use them cause their swear words... O_O they have different meanings.

OpenStudy (abhisar):

I just realised that I missed to tag names of our new members @deepika.comet @pooja195 Please pardon me if I am missing any further name. I''l expect other members to tag any name I am missing. A very good question raised by @girlover and beautifully explained by @TheSmartOne . Words like hell and damn are not directly against the CoC but can be used to insult someone and in that case will be an offence. @confluxepic `The words not allowed on OS are the ones that get filtered.` That's not entirely true. Words those get filtered are certainly not allowed but it's not exclusive. There are several other unfiltered words which are situational or are slang and shall not be used on OS. The purpose of the language filter is not to define that which words are allowed and which are not but is to minimize the impact of those words on the readers.

OpenStudy (abhisar):

I'll encourage all of you to raise as much questions as you can like this or any other related to the policies on slack, It's part of the training session. That place will be more suited for this kind of discussion.

OpenStudy (sleepyhead314):

oh right like "penis" is unfiltered because it is a biology term... but it's not very appropriate to say out of context :P

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

^ exactly what I was about to say... lol

jaynator495 (jaynator495):

i was hoping to come here to find out i was accepted as a ambi... instead i come here to get creeped out by sleepyhead! LOL

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

lol
