why air moves from areas of high pressure to areas of low pressure

OpenStudy (lasttccasey):

Conceptually think about a car tire. The pressure inside is much higher than the pressure outside, why does the air rush outside when its punctured?

OpenStudy (surry99):

assume that the areas are the same for both the high and low pressure regions. Then according to Newton's second law what should happen?

OpenStudy (unklerhaukus):

Gasses are made of particles in motion, in higher pressure regions there is a greater density of particles. When there is a lower pressure region the particles get pushed into this place via collisions
