suggestion: auto-close questions after a year suggestion 2: implement locking feature in which you make users unable to reply to locked questions suggestion 3: lock posts after a year
Hmm this seems pretty interesting. I like whole 'Lock Post' feature.
Because I have posts I want to post, but I don't want anyone to comment. Like tutorial posts and all
Make it so only mods can lock posts.
Cool idea, to temporarily lock a question when there's too much heat, or permanently locking tutorials. Also an option to lock a question on top of the question stream would be helpful, so that it will remain on top. Example would be a anti-cheating warning during finals week.
@poopsiedoodle You are so smart. Great ideas.
Maybe users could lock their own posts tho, comp I don't really see what would be wrong with that
Is this the close feature? I have been wondering. See attachment.
How about only Mods can lock questions, like tutorials, spam questions, etc. Auto-close is when a user has not commented in that post at all for an entire year or more.
Great idea!
I like suggestion 2.
I don't like suggestion one but great ideas
The problem is, the post would need to go somewhere. I know we have an EC2 Server; maybe closed; deleted questions should be placed on another, smaller EC2 server so the site doesn't lag.
well it would still go in the closed questions section if it gets closed, and if it gets locked, it would stay in the open section unless it gets closed as well or there could be another section for locked questions
hmm.
keep locking all stuff i'm going to have all keys :D:D:P
lol all those tabs opened.. @GreenCat
any tps for meh ?? O.o
Ir's mt psat scores.
no tips >.<
^^^^^^^LOL
Oh my scores are fine; I meant that I was not looking at tips.
At first I thought this was a good idea, but practically speaking I can't see the reason to make a developer add this feature since it's really minor and practically invisible.
But it would be pretty useful to have, especially for mods and people in technology-related groups (engineering, comp sci, etc.)
But the auto-close shouldn't close tutorials after a year...
