a coin is tossed until a head appears until it has been tossed three times. given that the head does not occur on first toss what is the probability that the coin is tossed three times?
????
why is no one replying to me??
" until a head appears until it has been tossed three times" was that how the question was phrased
so?
I thought there would say until a head appears OR until it has been tossed three times
ok what ever i want a solution to this..
A solution to a wrong question is a wrong solution. And I'm not smart enough to answer this anyway so ask someone else
total cases for that would be 8...then we are setting the first toss to be tail... then only four possibilities are left, after that if the coin is be tossed four times then the the second throw should not be head(its probability will be 1/2) last toss can be either head or toss(probability is one as experiment ends )
