To solve this you'll want to use the Pythagorean theorem. \[a ^{2} + b ^{2} = c ^{2}\] If you count the sides, a= 7 b= 8. So plug it into the formula and solve for c. Once you solve for c, you can add the 2 lengths together to get you answer

No, you also have to add the 7 "blocks" it takes to get to Betsy's house. So 10.63+7=
