Describe how to transform the graph of f into the graph of g. (1 point) f(x) = sq x-9 and g(x) =sq x+5 Shift the graph of f right 14 units. Shift the graph of f right 4 units. Shift the graph of f left 14 units. Shift the graph of f left 4 units.

OpenStudy (danjs):

The square root of(x-a) is shifted by 'a' units horizontally on the graph

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so the 3rd one?

OpenStudy (danjs):

So if you have (x-9) that is moved to the right 9 untis on the x axis if you have (x+5) or (x - (-5)) that is moved to the LEft 5 units from the origin. The difference in horizontal units between the two would be the difference between 9 and -5

OpenStudy (danjs):

You start at x=9, and shift over to x=-5

OpenStudy (danjs):

move left 14 units

OpenStudy (anonymous):

got it !! thank you so much <3

OpenStudy (danjs):

welcome
