@PRAETORIAN.10

OpenStudy (praetorian.10):

lol I'm guessing "the raven" is a book / movie?

OpenStudy (praetorian.10):

totally never heard of it before lol, must be american, i'll look it up for you bro

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah its a poem haha its really odd hard to understand an i've been getting slaughtered in Edgar Allen Poe's lit section.

OpenStudy (praetorian.10):

yolo man xD

OpenStudy (praetorian.10):

Basically, the poem is about a man whose sitting alone in his house. His love has died and he is mourning her loss. A raven shows up at the door and the man begins to dialogue with the raven about his lost love, Lenore. He starts asking the raven questions, wondering if he will ever get over Lenore or if he will see her again. The raven's only response is "Nevermore".

OpenStudy (praetorian.10):

~~ Internet source. ~~

OpenStudy (praetorian.10):

Well, its ludicrous but ostensibly A is correct.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i understand that part somewhat, haha but i dont really get this question.

OpenStudy (praetorian.10):

B seems adverse to the theme.

OpenStudy (praetorian.10):

The poem does not provide factual evidence in support of C.

OpenStudy (praetorian.10):

D is illogical yet the most likely answer.

OpenStudy (praetorian.10):

Such is but my humble perspective, after-all.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i feel like D is the answer?

OpenStudy (praetorian.10):

Such is my aspersion.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im sorry i dont want to sound straight out dumb but some of your words are above my vocabulary.

OpenStudy (praetorian.10):

A thousand apologies for my arrogance.

OpenStudy (praetorian.10):

I think the answer is D.

OpenStudy (praetorian.10):

|dw:1420367971820:dw|

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No, D is not the answer. Consider what's happening in the piece - a man is mourning the loss of his lover

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Wait what? @zergog

OpenStudy (praetorian.10):

yeah but the bad feeling goes away because he has the companion bird to distract him and dissipate his lacrimosity

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No, he doesn't. Despite everything the man asks the raven, the raven only replies "nevermore"... he's not much of a companion. :)

OpenStudy (praetorian.10):

lol but isnt it surprising that a bird says something, even in literature of fiction

OpenStudy (praetorian.10):

i mean if a bird started talking to me i'd be pretty surprised to say at the least

OpenStudy (praetorian.10):

:)

OpenStudy (praetorian.10):

i say D because its surprising and unusual and etc etc for such to occur
