Quantites and Units Emily dropped a coin from rest, and the distance traveled by the coin is given by the formula below, where s is the distance the coin has fallen, g is a constant representing Earth's gravity, and t is the duration of time over which the coin falls. Emily measured the distance in feet, the time in seconds, and now wants to calculate the value of g. What must be the units of g? a.seconds b. feet per second c.feet per second squared d.feet

OpenStudy (ivancsc1996):

Since g is an acceleration it tells us how much the velocity changes in time. The velocity tells us how much distance change with time. Therefor acceleration tells us how much distance changes per time per time. So c. Funny little word play.
