OpenStudy (bowtie_man123):

i am working on it will try to answer

OpenStudy (specek18):

okay! thank you @Bowtie_man123 it's hard because i know it's more than just 2000 times 4...

OpenStudy (bowtie_man123):

i hope this is right since 10 percent of 2000 is 200 it would be 2000 + 200 + 200 + 200 +200 and the answer would be 2,800

OpenStudy (bowtie_man123):

I don't know if it is right but I tried my best but I'm only a seventh grader

OpenStudy (bowtie_man123):

no no no i was wrong

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so they start with$2,000 it increases by 10% each year 10% of 2,000 is 200. the first year they would spend $2,200 then they would add 10% of that which is 2,420 then the next year they would add 10% of that which is 2,662 then you add them all togather 2,000+2,200+2,420+2662=9,282 so the answer is $9,282

OpenStudy (bowtie_man123):

OHHHHH yes that is right i read the question wrong i did not see the total of 4 years part but yes that is right Great Job :)

OpenStudy (specek18):

i got the same!!! so excited. :) i figured out how you add on the years together including interest... i did yr 1:2000 yr 2:2200 yr 3: 2420 yr 4: 2662 =9282

OpenStudy (specek18):

so excited thank you!!! ready for another question? @Zoe9639
