So far ive got 3x+3 for the length and 6x-1 for the depth but how do i find the area??

if you are right, then the area is 
$$(3x+3)(6x-1)$$

but area is length times width not length times depth right?

yes land space is only dealing with length and width

since "x" is width

Area = x(3x+3) = 3x(x+1)
