Well take a look here - http://www.regentsprep.org/regents/math/algebra/AO4/Ldirect.htm - We know the formula for Direct Variation is \(\color{blueviolet}{k=\dfrac{y}{x}}\) What is the x coordinate and the y coordinate in (5, 8)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x=5 y=8

sammixboo (sammixboo):

Correct, so plug in the info \(\color{blueviolet}{k=\dfrac{8}{5}}\)
