can someone help me on this paper on piecewise functions?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i couldn't transfer it i tried

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1. 21-5=16 2.6-20=-14

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks @Marki and @Fazeelayaz so would 1 be 16 and 2 be -14?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes and do you got 3 and 4 ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what do you mean?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I mean 3rd and 4rth questions (graph)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im not sure how to do this in the first place:/

OpenStudy (anonymous):

are you going by the sections there in or are you actually going by the numbers?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wait

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i have no idea in so confused /.\

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

check it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so the one for f(x)=f(7) is 16 and the one for f(x)=f(4) is -14

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

also check the graphs

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lexi....? where are you?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if u think i helped u then dont forget to give me medal .I hope i heped u

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im still trying to figure this out lol never been good with math so im a little confused

OpenStudy (anonymous):

please ask

OpenStudy (anonymous):

f(7) would be 16 because 7 is greater than 4 and the function for x>4 is 3x-5,so you plug 7 in 3x-5 and you will get 16

OpenStudy (anonymous):

f(10) would be -14 because 10 is greater than 3 and the function for x>=3 is 6-2*x.The answer would be 6-2*10= -14

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it says that its f(4) ??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

nvm lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i was talking f(10) second one.f(4)(for the first one) would be 16 because the function for x=4 would be x^2.4^2=16

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1. f(7)=16,f(4)=16,f(-3)=9

OpenStudy (anonymous):

2. f(10)=-14.f(2)=3, &f(0)=-2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay im slowly understanding

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay so now for the graphs i know you already said something about it but can you try and explain it again?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i have attached a file named graph ^^^ check it I have drawn both of them

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay so for seven its just oone line from 3 and another line from -2 ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

for x<0 it's -2 and for x>=0 it's 3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

now you got it ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes thank you :D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

your welcome lexi... the hardest thing while trying to explain you was not the question but your name lex.... it's very hard to type for me and i dont know how to pronounce that lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its okay lol and I'm sorry for the complications I'm not very good at math so its extremely confusing to me

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you can ask any time for help
