So I'm writing a paper about whether or not the U.S should have a law that says everyone must participate in some form of a military division or whatever. I am going against this. I need help on ideas

So far i have these for ideas or topics or whatever

Waste of money
Takes a way our freedom
(it mentions in the actual prompt that other counties do this) so who r these other countries and what is there military like.
It could weaken our military rather then making it stronger.
