Which equation represents a line that passes through (5, 1) and has a slope of 1/2? y – 5 = 1/2 (x –1) y – 1/2 = 5(x –1) y – 1 = 1/2 (x –5) y – 1 = 5 (x-1/2)

Nnesha (nnesha):

point slope form equation is \[y - y _{1} = m (x - x _{1})\] here m is slope and x1 and y is point that you have \[(x _{1} , y _{1})\] <-- x1 first and then y1 so you just have to replace variables by their values
