Rise / Run. you can see (looking at just the hypotenuse) that as the graph went up by 2 units, it has gone to the right by 6. (the number of units the line has gone up) the slope is = ------------------------------------------ (the number of units the line has gone to the right) basically : (change in y)/(change in x)
