0 = 3/4x - 2
3/4x = -2
x = -2/(3/4)
x = -2 * 4/3

slope(m) = 3/4
(-8/3,0)....x = -8/3 and y = 0
now sub
0 = 3/4(-8/3) + b
0 = -2 + b
2 = b

so a parallel line would be : y = 3/4x + 2
