ABCD is an isosceles trapezoid with legs ab and cd and base bc. if the length of ab is 7y - 4, the lengths of bc is 4y-6 and the length of cd is 8y-18 find the value of y.

Since it's an isosceles triangle, two of the sides have to be even. I'm assuming the two legs are equal since that's how it usually is. ab= 7y-4 cd = 8y-18 That means 7y-4=8y-18 From there you should be able to solve for y.
