Do you know what ADP is? Or what it stands for

OpenStudy (jahnavi):

ADP it stands for adenosine di-phosphate. It is formed from the reduction of ATP(adenosine tri-phosphate). The reduction of ATP gives rise to ADP and inorganic phosphate(ip).

pooja195 (pooja195):

ok and whats the function?

OpenStudy (jahnavi):

Its main function is release of energy. The reduction of ATP is also known as phosphorylation which is nothing but energy synthesis.
