OpenStudy (anonymous):

s Marcus can choose between a monthly salary of $1,500 plus 5.5% of sales or $2,400 plus 3% of sales. He expects sales between $5,000 and $10,000 a month. Which salary option should he choose? Explain.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i have to chose one salrary option

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and then explain

OpenStudy (perl):

Let x = first option salary 1500 + .055 * 5000 <= x <= 1500 + .055 * 10 000 Let y = second option salary 2400 + .03 * 5000 <= y < = 2400 + .03 * 10 000

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so that would be the answer ??? @perl

OpenStudy (perl):

I can't give the answer, can you simplify that

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the first option i got 1,775

OpenStudy (anonymous):

second option i got 2,550 i dont get this

OpenStudy (perl):

1775 <= x <= 2050 2550 <= y <= 2700

OpenStudy (perl):

so it looks like second salary option is better

OpenStudy (anonymous):
