Is the question asking after which statement the Knight surrendered to his fate?
I have never read this, but to decry is the same as to condemn, to belittle, or to depreciate. The knight is upset about his fate.
It seems to me that the woman spoke in choices 2, 3, & 4 while the Knight only spoke in choice 1.
I read a summary. It might be A, in which the knight may be complaining about his fate to marry an ugly woman. I have no clue.
