Which inequality represents the statement, "the product of a number and -6, decreased by 3, is less than 57"? A 6n-3 > 57 B 6n-3 < 57 C -6n-3 > 57 D -6n -3 < 57

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The answer is D.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a and b are wrong because 6 isn't negative in those answers

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and C is wrong because the sign says that -6n-3 is greater than 57. and it has to say less than 57 leaving D to be the only answer.
