Which equation represents the graph of the linear function? http://static.k12.com/calms_media/media/1348000_1348500/1348060/1/4df4067fe52f14e9f27a768affc33d3dcec98885/116081.jpg A. y = 2 B. y = −2 C. y = 2x D. y = −2x

i think it is A

OpenStudy (anonymous):

when y = something*x then substituting a particular x value should give you corresponding y value right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

in the graph, let's take x value 0, 1 , 2 for example, by looking at the graph in x= 0 case y = 2 in x = 1 case y = 2 in x = 2 case y is still 2 so y is constant irrespective of x right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yea

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so y = 2 will be the answer :) and you are right :D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

shes cheating on k12 sophia

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

now remember to substitute the values in standard equation y = something*x + some_constant AND any line parallel to x-axis is y = some constant any line parallel to y-axis is x = some constant

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks
