im not quite understanding what you need here. I need background information please to answer correctly.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A plasma membrane and a cell wall _____. i think its asking how there similar

OpenStudy (amberparrishxo):

Ohh okay. Give me just one moment please.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

are two names for the same thing have the same structure and different functions have different structures and the same function have different structures and different functions these are the answer choices

OpenStudy (amberparrishxo):

My answer is: Cell wall and cell membrane both are semipermeable which form the outer covering of cell keeping the cell cytoplasm intact.

OpenStudy (amberparrishxo):

I would say in conclusion to my response, that they have the same structure but different functions.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you

Why do O2 and CO2 pass through the plasma membrane?

OpenStudy (amberparrishxo):

simple diffusion is when ions can pass through the membrane without the aid of other molecules (facilitated diffusion uses membrane proteins). O2 and CO2 are hydrophobic like the inside of the bilayer so they can pass through it, as well as moving down their concentration gradients (high to low).

OpenStudy (amberparrishxo):

(Simple defussion is the correct answer without an explanation)
