How does this resonant band-pass filter work? http://i.imgur.com/dGsJCF6.jpg

OpenStudy (kenljw):

The impedance of an inductor is j wL The impedance of an capacitance is -j/wc These are complex values, w is radian frequency, 2 Pi f j wL||-j/wC = (L/C)/j (wL - 1/wC) = (- j w/C)/(w^2 - 1/LC) j wL||-j/wC goes to infinity as w^2 goes to 1/LC, this is the resonate frequency j wL||-j/wC goes to zero as w goes to zero or infinity, this shows that its a band pass filter, the bandwidth needs to be determined, -3 dB points.
