OpenStudy (mathmate):

Closed under addition means that "add together \(any\) two members of the set, and the result will still be in the set". For example, in the set of natural numbers {1,2,3,4...}, if you pick any two numbers in the set and add, the result will still be in the set of natural numbers. That's true no matter which two elements you choose. So the set of natural numbers is closed to addition.
