OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm not entirely sure how to go about this, so a step by step would be perfect.

OpenStudy (anwaarullah):

its B

OpenStudy (anonymous):

could you show me how to go through it to get the answer?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so i know for future problems.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@anwaarullah ?

OpenStudy (anwaarullah):

ok wait i solve

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay thank you :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no other given data ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no, this is all that is provided for me.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so you have: M/2 = 8/5 M = 16/5 = 3.2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay so that is how it should be done? i thought so but wasn't completely sure.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

mm ok, ill try to exlpain

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the area of a sector is angle * radius^2 / 2 so the ratio between sectors depends only on the angles since the radius is the same. now since the angles at the upper side and the lower side are the same for the different sectors the ratio is the same.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but be careful, this is not the way the areas of the sectors are calculated here (since the sectors have like "different" radius) cause the formula angle * radius^2 /2 is valid for sectors that are made from the center of the circle
