They don't fit into nice little categories Typically cosmic rays have energies into the 100's of MeV's Alpha particles - 1-5 MeV typically Beta Particles low KeV to several MeV Gamma Rays (EM radiation from the Nucleus) a Few KeV to several MeV X-Rays (EM radiation from the orbit electron transitions ) about 100ev to 100 KeV. neutrons - eV's to a few MeV
