the base of A triangle is.....
Do you remember how to find the area of a triangle
kinda
Area of a triangle = (1/2) x Base x Height
i think the answer is c
oh, i dont know what the answer is yet
ok
\[\frac{ 1 }{ 2}*\frac{ 29^{14} }{ 5^{11} } = \frac{ 1 }{ 2 }*\frac{ 29^4*5^8 }{ 1 } *h\]
see all i did was replace area and base with the numbers in Area= 1/2 base times height letting h = height
If you multiply both sides of that equation, by 2, both the 1/2 fractions dissapear
\[\frac{ 29^{14} }{ 5^{11} } = \frac{ 29^4*5^8 }{ 1 } *h\]
You need h to be a number , so that you end up with 5^11 on the bottom , and 29^14 on the top, are you familiar with the exponent rules?
not really I'm sorry i did them a year ago
You need to figure this out: \[\frac{ 5^8 }{ 5^a } = 5^{11}\]
was my answer correct?
The rule is....\[\frac{ 5^8 }{ 5^a } = 5^{8-a} \]
so 8 - a = 11 a = 3 the denominator of h will be 5^3
hmm I go with B
you were wrong both
it was d
it says the area of a rectangle, that will be double the area of a triangle, so you need to divide that given area in half to begin with
ok well it was wrong :/ but thanks anyway
do you want me to explain it all to you, exponent rules, area of triangle, area of rectangle and how to solve for the height of the triangle?
i markeed u best because of your time
I didn't read rectangle, you have to divide the given area in half first before you do anything
sure
its d then ?
yes @abram134
|dw:1420603092871:dw|
ok
That given area is equal to the given base times the height we need to find
ok
\[\frac{ 29^{14} }{ 2*5^{11} } = 29^4*5^8*h\]
good on that part?
