FAN AND MEDAL FOR ANSWER!! Variable y varies directly with x2, and y = 96 when x = 4. What is the value of y when x = 2? y=??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well if y = 96 when x = 4 and x gets split in halt and becomes 2, then split 96 in half to make 48. Easy! y = 48

Variable y varies directly with x2, and y = 75 when x = 5. What is the value of y when x = 3? Y=?? @skittykitty6969

OpenStudy (anonymous):

divide both x and y by five to make y = 15 and x = 1. then multiply both by 3 and you get x = 3 and y = 45. Y = 45

the correct answer is 27 for that one.... @skittykitty6969
