OpenStudy has gotten much better over the past year, instead of crashing when there are more than 200 users on at a time, it can manage much more now :)

All sites has it's problems, but like @sleepyhead314 said. The dev team is working on it to be fixed. OpenStudy has lag for many different reasons, not just one the whole time. It could be too many users on this site at once, or a problem with a servers, this and that. There is a list :) Just like the orange war, once the Dev team fixes it, another problem that causes the OW pops up. Anyways, we gotta be patient :)

Hey there!

Guys I am genuinely sorry for the trouble. I know OS had this lag situation from beginning but things are much better than before. They have updated many things due to which it's much less frequent now. I can see too many users are online ryt now. 200+ in maths, 200+ in english etc. This is the only reason for lag we all are experiencing at the moment. Trust you wouldn't complaint about this after some hours. I have informed about this trouble to the authorities. Please be relaxed. I am again sorry for the inconvenience. Peace !

@Sadworld that is not necessarily true or realistic. If you have a cluster of 200 servers, 201 is not a big difference. Now, I doubt OpenStudy has that many. However, the bigger problem can be cost. A dedicated server can be a cost commitment of thousands. That can make it an unrealistic solution.

The hope is that as the new developers refine the site that it becomes more efficient on both client and server sides. It has been shown by users that OS has a huge memory footprint on the client side. If that can be gotten down, it will generally mean things run smoother.
