WILL GIVE MEDALL AND I'LL FAN FOR HELPPP!!!! Yusuf has started to play tennis. During week 1 he played 3 games. During week 2, he played 6 games, and during week 3 he played 9 games. Write an equation that gives the number of games he played y in terms of the number of weeks x.

OpenStudy (misty1212):

i would say \(y=3x\) since it is three more every week

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I agree ^

OpenStudy (mrnood):

What a stupid question - equations are used to explain a relationship between parameters. In this case over a VERY short period of time there is an APPARENT linear relation ship between week numbers and games - however it is very clear that there is NO real relationship - in week 200 for instance he certainly won't play 600 games. I agree that the answer given above ( @misty1212 - it is not allowed in the code of conduct to give direct answers) IS the answer required by the question - but you should understand that this equation implies a relationship which evidently does not exist. <\rant>
