OpenStudy (anonymous):

are you not paying attention in class

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sum of angles in pentagon is always 540

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think its 42.5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

42.500

OpenStudy (acxbox22):

we know the sum of the angles of a pentagon equal 540 the angle without any number by it has a measure of 90 degrees since it is a right angle set up an equation adding all the sides up to 540

OpenStudy (camerondoherty):

148 + 112 = 260 540 - 260 = 280 (2x + 10) + (2x) = 280 Can you solve that?

OpenStudy (acxbox22):

like this: 2x+2x+10+148+90+112=540 now solve the equation and tell me what you get

OpenStudy (acxbox22):

or solve @camerondoherty 's equation it is the same thing

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sorry I meant x=45

OpenStudy (acxbox22):

@BeSimple can you solve the equation or do you need help?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

67.5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

my bad i forgot the 90degrees

OpenStudy (acxbox22):

yes now solve and tell me what you get

OpenStudy (anonymous):

42.5

OpenStudy (camerondoherty):

Oh yea, me too Sorry, cx Change the equation to: (2x + 10) + (2x) = 190 cx

OpenStudy (acxbox22):

2x+10+2x=190 subtract 10, then combine x's then divide on both sides by the coeffcient of x
