The city of Jerusalem is considered one of the holiest places in the world. Millions of people visit the city each year to tour and pray at its ancient shrines and buildings. The city is shared by three of the world's largest religions. Although the city's tourists often respect the religious differences of the other visitors, the city has come under violent civil strife between worshipers of different religions. List the three religions that regard Jerusalem as a holy city and give an example of how the city is shared by these religions.
