OpenStudy (agl202):

The volume of the larger prism is the product of 8 and 112.

???

OpenStudy (ghostgate):

First, you got to double all dimensions. So: 2 x 2 = 4, 8 x 2 = 16, and 7 x 2 = 14. Now multiply all together: 4 x 16 = 64 and 64 x 14 = 896 cm^3

OpenStudy (ghostgate):

Agl202 was saying that 112 x 8 = 896. That would have given you the same answer, but I don't think that would work for every problem.
