whitemonsterbunny17 (whitemonsterbunny17):

Contrapositives.. this one's confusing..

whitemonsterbunny17 (whitemonsterbunny17):

State the contrapositive of the statement: "If you can't play baseball, then I can't ride a horse." It's already a negative statement.. what...

whitemonsterbunny17 (whitemonsterbunny17):

@satellite73 @ganeshie8

OpenStudy (jhannybean):

this is what you call a post hoc ergo proper hoc statement

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it is already negated, so negate it again

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

lol not not = yes

OpenStudy (here_to_help15):

If i can ride a horse, then you can play baseball.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

for example "then i cannot ride a horse" would turn in to "then i CAN ride a horse"

OpenStudy (jhannybean):

\( -(-p \rightarrow -q)\) I cant make the little enye symbol haha,.

whitemonsterbunny17 (whitemonsterbunny17):

Oh. That makes sense. x'D Negative + Negative= Positive.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\lnot\]

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

use `\neg` for \(\neg\) @Jhannybean

OpenStudy (jhannybean):

example: "if I don't answer questions on OS, then I cannot become 99 SS"

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\lnot

OpenStudy (jhannybean):

Ohh, I see @ganeshie8

OpenStudy (anonymous):

or apparently \neg \[\neg\] i didn't know that one , always used \lnot

OpenStudy (anonymous):

as in \lor and \land

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\lor, \land\]

OpenStudy (jhannybean):

\[\lnot ~(\lnot~ p \rightarrow \lnot ~q)\]

OpenStudy (jhannybean):

What about the little arcs ontop like line segments and stuff? (sorry off topic)

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

equivalent `\wedge` \(\wedge \) `\vee` \(\vee\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what little arcs?

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

`\overline{AB}` \(\overline{AB}\) `\overrightarrow{AB}` \(\overrightarrow{AB}\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\overbrace{a}\]

OpenStudy (jhannybean):

\[m\angle AB = \frac{1}{2}\text{arc}~CD\] if you wanted to use the arc symbol instead of writing arc?

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

arc is not there in basic latex i think

OpenStudy (jhannybean):

Darn.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\overleftarrow{ab}\]

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

|dw:1420686501768:dw|

OpenStudy (anonymous):

forgot about that one

OpenStudy (zarkon):

\overarc{CD} hmm works here... http://latex.codecogs.com/gif.latex? \overarc{CD}

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

\(\large \widehat{AB}\)

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

thats the close thing that works here `\widehat`

OpenStudy (jhannybean):

That's the closest we'll get apparently

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

\overarc looks pretty though but that requires an additional package or something..

OpenStudy (jhannybean):

Really hope more latex can be added to OS...somehow.

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

http://gyazo.com/fb461eb910b43235c3f1c8a47cb88e26

OpenStudy (zarkon):

\[\stackrel{\mbox{$\frown$}}{CD}\] :)

OpenStudy (zarkon):

\stackrel{\mbox{$\frown$}}{CD}

OpenStudy (jhannybean):

Someone give Zarkon a medal immediately. Lol.

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

it crowns only one character

OpenStudy (zarkon):

I can make it work with 2-3 characters on my program but it doesn't work here

OpenStudy (zarkon):

http://latex.codecogs.com/gif.latex? \stackrel{\mbox{\Huge{~$\frown$}}}{ACD}

OpenStudy (zarkon):

you have to copy and paste the entire link

whitemonsterbunny17 (whitemonsterbunny17):

Ummmmm.... okay, anyway... \(\Large\bf\color{red}{\bigstar~T}\color{gold}{H}\color{lime}{A}\color{cyan}{N}\color{blueviolet}{K}\color{magenta}{S}\color{orchid}{!~\bigstar}\)

whitemonsterbunny17 (whitemonsterbunny17):

And btw, is anyone else having the issue where the "Post" button gets hidden, and if the text is long enough, the text does also? It's annoying. >.<

OpenStudy (jhannybean):

Right now I'm experiencing the site crashing on me every 5-10 minutes or so. Closed my browser, cleared the cache, logged out, etc, doesn't really help anything.

whitemonsterbunny17 (whitemonsterbunny17):

Hmm, I'm not getting that, but I usually have that problem. :p

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

there is a keyboard shortcut which you may use for posting @Whitemonsterbunny17

OpenStudy (jhannybean):

tab + enter

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

after typing in the textbox, press tab and hit enter

whitemonsterbunny17 (whitemonsterbunny17):

Yeah, tab, but that doesn't help when I'm trying to type and it hides my words. .-.
