@Abhisar

OpenStudy (abhisar):

ok, so about how many systems inside the body do you know?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

digestive system,respiratory, circulatory, ..

OpenStudy (abhisar):

Ok, that's right. These are the three main systems which help us keep alive. Now we need to find out their functions.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is there a website that talks about it?

OpenStudy (abhisar):

Yes, I can find you one...hang on

OpenStudy (abhisar):

I am not able to find anything in brief, do you want me to explain in my own words?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sure

OpenStudy (abhisar):

Food can not be utilised by our body in their original form. They have to be broken down and converted into simple substances like glucose. This process of conversion is called digestion and is performed by the digestive system. Now respiratory system provides body with oxygen required for breaking down nutrient molecules like glucose (which was provided by digestive system through digestion) and to derive energy for performing various activities. \(\sf CO_2\), a harmful gas is also released during the process and respiratory system ensures that it is continuously excreted from the body. Finally circulatory system acts as a transporter of various materials like oxygen, carbon dioxide, nutrients etc from on epart of the body to another.
