Simplify will post below.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\frac{ 3z +12 }{ 6 }\]

OpenStudy (misty1212):

factor out a 3 top and bottom, then cancel

OpenStudy (butterflydreamer):

You want to factorise the top. So what is a common number which 3 and 12 can be divided by? It would be 3. So 3z + 12 = 3(z+4) And then you can cancel

OpenStudy (anonymous):

z+4/2?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

would that be right?

OpenStudy (butterflydreamer):

yepp! :) Good work.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you for the help

OpenStudy (butterflydreamer):

no worries.
