If two object with the same mass and the same speed but in opposite directions impacted head on what would be their final velocity? I would like to see a ratio.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Momentum is conserved. The total momentum of the two objects before the collision is zero. See if that helps you find the answer. The total momentum after the collision must still be zero.

Oh, is there a ratio to describe it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well the ration depends on the mass and initial speed ,but since its same well i guess its ones
