Because the scientist found out that the rainwater is acidic, the pH of the water has to be less than 7. So pH6 (A) is the only option that could be correct. P.S. pH 0 to pH 6.9 is acidic, pH 7 is neutral and pH 7.1 to pH 13 is basic.
