MEDAL & FAN ANYBODY ? Use the following System of Equations to answer the following question: 2x + 5y = 15 –4x + 7y = –13 The graph of the system of equations would be classified as: a. Consistent and Inconsistent b. Consistent and Dependent c. Inconsistent and Independent d. Consistent and Independent *not c*

OpenStudy (igreen):

Can you tell what the answer is from that?

OpenStudy (igreen):

Hint: The system of equations has 1 solution.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Is it a ? @iGreen

OpenStudy (igreen):

There's no such thing as a 'Consistent and Inconsistent' system of equations..that's a contradiction. Check this again: http://www.mathsisfun.com/algebra/images/system-linear-types.gif

OpenStudy (igreen):

You probably read 'Inconsistent' instead of 'Independent'.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@iGreen yeah . so is it d ?

OpenStudy (igreen):

Yep, you got it.
