What is the equation of the graphed line?

OpenStudy (sleepyjess):

Do you have any ideas on how to get the equation?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no

OpenStudy (igreen):

First we can find the slope.. \(m = \dfrac{y_2-y_1}{x_2-x_1}\) Let's take (-2, 4) and (2, -4) Plug them in: \(m = \dfrac{-4-4}{2+2}\) Can you simplify that? Just add and subtract then divide.

OpenStudy (igreen):

Tell me what you get. @Bree123

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-2

@iGreen

OpenStudy (igreen):

Yep, so your equation will be y = -2x
