Mathematics 13 Online
OpenStudy (kj4uts):

Evaluate arccsc2 I thought the answer was just pi/6 or 30 degrees but I see other pi/6 with other fractions. What would you chose?

OpenStudy (kj4uts):

OpenStudy (loser66):

I think it is {pi/6,5pi/6}

OpenStudy (kj4uts):

C.?

OpenStudy (loser66):

\(arcsc (2) = \theta\), that is \( csc(\theta) = 2\) but \(csc (\theta)= \dfrac{1}{sin (\theta)} =2\) hence \(sin(\theta)= \dfrac{1}{2}\) those values of \(\theta\) are \(\dfrac{\pi}{6}, \dfrac{5pi}{6}\)

OpenStudy (kj4uts):

Ok thank you for explaining that to me!

OpenStudy (loser66):

:)
