When a substance is boiled, what happens to the mass? There is no mass once the substance becomes a gas. The mass stays constant as it changes from a liquid to a gas. The mass decreases as it changes from a liquid to a gas. The mass increases as it changes from a liquid to a gas.

@KamiBug

OpenStudy (warriorz13):

The mass decreases as it changes from a liquid to a has. because the gas starts to rise if it didn't decrease it would stay at the same level or it would sink.

Okay thanks!

OpenStudy (warriorz13):

yep

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

Mass stays the same... the fact that a gas starts to rise is due to the gas having lower density, not mass.
