HELP!!!! The sun produces 3.9 ⋅ 1033 ergs of radiant energy per second. How many ergs of radiant energy does the sun produce in 3.25 ⋅ 103 seconds?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1033 x 103 = 106,399 and that would be your answer but in scientific notation it would be, 1.06399 x 10^5

sorry my mistake, it would be 3.9 x 10^33 = 3,900,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 3.25 x 10^3 = 3,250 3,900,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 x 3,250 = 12,675,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 and that would be your answer but in scientific notation it would be, 1.2675 x 10^37.
