OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think B and C But i'm not sure

OpenStudy (anonymous):

b

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I B \[13 p ^{2}..and.... 19 p ^{2}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

B

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I was thinking d because they are both perfect squares

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Any variable that is to the same power are like terms.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks guys

OpenStudy (freckles):

how many answers did you select?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

B so far

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i think maybe c

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm going with B

OpenStudy (freckles):

like terms are terms with the same variable parts what about A also? you have 7q and 2q the variable part in 7q is q the variable part in 2q is q isn't q the same as q?

OpenStudy (freckles):

B also works because both terms have the same variable part

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok B and A what about C?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

c no

OpenStudy (freckles):

And C as you suggested above also works because they both share that same variable part

OpenStudy (freckles):

So A,B, and C work

OpenStudy (freckles):

what about D?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It's b like I said

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks guys

OpenStudy (freckles):

D both terms have q^5 as variable part so all choices work here

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No Problem! :D

OpenStudy (freckles):

if were were comparing 4p^3 and 5p^5 these would not be like terms because p^3 is not the same as p^5

OpenStudy (freckles):

@chris182u all of the answers work in each choice the terms we are comparing have the same variable part
