what is the underlined word?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

IS Sorry

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what do you think it is

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No idea...

Laundry would be the noun since it's a person/place/thing Dry would be the adjective since it's describing the noun. Is would be the preposition since it's linking the noun to another word in the sentence.

But I found this about the word is: The word "is" is a verb. It's the third-person singular present form of the verb "to be." IE, Ex. The boy is good. I also can't find "is"on the big list of pronouns: http://www.momswhothink.com/reading/list-of-pronouns.html#pronoun list So I change my answer. I think is is the verb.
